New Sessions & Venues
We are now at Spring Side Primary School Community Space – in Walmersley, Bury. So exciting that we can now offer an indoor/ outdoor session once again.
We have loved planning our new toddler sessions, which will once again be called ‘Calm Buddies’ at Springside Primary on Monday mornings.

We have 3 new sessions that would suit local families in Walmersley and Bury with very young children.
Nature Buddies will be back at Clarence Park, Bury from Tuesday 16th June. Meeting at the bandstand outside the Green Community Cafe.

On a Wednesday we have decided to create a midweek cozy corner for you all online, with the plan to bring this into an in-person session in the coming months. After gaining funding from the Bury VCFA the Buddies tribe were able to offer three ‘well-being sessions’ for local mums to attend with their baby’s for some much needed pampering and connections with others.
Grants & Training
At Empathy Holistics, our mission has always been to create opportunities for mums and children to connect, thrive, and improve their wellbeing within their local community.
We’re incredibly grateful to have received £1,000 from Bury VCFA through the Let’s Make A Difference Fund. This funding enabled us to support the wellbeing of mums and their children across the Walmersley and Bury area through three dedicated wellbeing afternoons.
These sessions provided families with the opportunity to enjoy baby yoga, experience the calming benefits of a sling swing, and take part in a relaxation session designed to encourage rest, connection, and self-care. It was wonderful to see families taking time out of their busy routines to focus on their wellbeing together.
Alongside this, we have been given the fantastic opportunity to join the School for Social Entrepreneurs’ Trading for Good Programme as part of the Bury Cohort. Being part of this programme has provided valuable connections, business knowledge, and support to help us grow our social impact. Through the programme, we have already received £800 in match funding, which will help us continue developing our work within the community.
We’re also delighted to share that we have applied for National Lottery funding to support our sessions throughout the next academic year. This funding would allow us to continue providing accessible wellbeing opportunities for families across Bury and Walmersley.
In addition, we have received a generous £250 donation from the Bury Lions Club to support our sessions at the Community Garden in Clarence Park. These outdoor sessions provide a wonderful opportunity for families to connect with nature, each other, and their local community.
To top it all off, we have been awarded an incredible £2,000 from the People’s Postcode Lottery to support our wellbeing sessions across Walmersley and Bury. This funding will help us reach even more families and continue creating safe, welcoming spaces where people can connect, relax, and feel supported.
We are incredibly thankful to every organisation that has invested in our vision and believes in the importance of community wellbeing. Every pound received helps us create opportunities for connection, reduce isolation, and improve the wellbeing of local families.
We are excited about what lies ahead and look forward to continuing to make a positive difference in the lives of families across Bury.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey so far.
Transport for Greater Manchester and Tesco Stronger Starts for community funding has enabled us to help 25 families feel less isolated, we have improved their well-being and they have become more active due to attending the Buddies sessions.
Friendships Friday
On a Friday we will be running an immersive gallery session at the Fusiliers Museum in Bury for 0-5 years, which will take place within the gallery space itself. We will also be taking our explorer bags around the gallery space so you and your child/ children can get interactive with the exhibits!
What our community say about our sessions:
We love our sessions I struggle with meeting people and travel but this is on my door step not in a massive place and Emmy is just so amazing and puts you at ease ! We love it my son has made some amazing friends!
Emmy makes the classes very relaxed compared to other baby classes I have been to. It’s very welcoming and Emmy kept me included in everything even when I had to isolate due my son’s illness for months! She’s created a lovely group.
