Who is the Empathy Holistic Buddies CIC?
Empathy Holistic Buddies CIC has grown from the heart of Empathy Holistics! This is my passion project.
Founded by Emma King in 2022, Empathy Holistic Buddies CIC is a gentle village where parents don’t have to do parenthood alone.
What started as simple family led session has grown into something much more meaningful — a blended experience of indoor and outdoor wellbeing sessions designed to support the whole family. While giving back to the local community in the form of subsidised session places for all families (unless we have specific funding)
Today, our sessions offer a unique rhythm:
🌿 Time indoors for play, creativity, and connection
🌳 Time outdoors in all weathers for fresh air, movement, and wellbeing
We support families who are:
- navigating the early years
- feeling isolated or overwhelmed
- looking for routine, friendship, and community
- simply wanting a softer, more connected way to parent
At its heart, the Buddies Tribe is a space where both children and grown-ups are held, seen, and supported — growing together, one gentle session at a time 🤍
Monday – Baby Buddies & You
🕐 10 – 12 am
(0-12 months only)
A calm, welcoming space for babies and their grown-ups to connect, slow down, and feel supported in the early months.
A combination of massage for baby & you. Creating keepsakes, so you have memories of your time together. Gentle play & songs inside and out.
We especially welcome and support:
- Multiple births
- Babies who have experienced neonatal care
- Parents aged 25 and under
Wednesdays – Nature Buddies (0-5 years)
Come along for a gentle baby and toddler friendly walk every Tuesday! Grab a takeout cuppa or coffee (helping local cafes to thrive)
Holding space in nature is one of my passions and I love how it can improve your physical, mental and emotional well-being in an instant!
Create connections with other parents, while your older babies & toddlers (older siblings) are entertained with our Buddies Explorer bags & scavenger hunt around the trail!

Friday Sessions
📍 The Fusilier Museum, Bury
🧭 Mini Buddies (0–5 years)
🕙 10:00 – 11:00am
A warm, inclusive session for parents, grandparents, and childminders — especially suited for families with more than one child.
Explore, play, and connect together within a unique museum setting through hands-on discovery and gentle engagement.

Our Purpose & Impact
All of our work is purpose-driven, not profit-driven.
Every penny goes back into building community connection, wellbeing spaces, and playful opportunities for families across Walmersley, Bury, and surrounding areas.
We have impacted over 100 families in the past 4 years since the beginning of this enterprise. We have worked with a number of families from different backgrounds, but all from the immediate locality of Bury and Bolton.
We have helped to facilitate life-long friendships between parents and children, while improving their physical, mental and emotional well-being.
Through our ongoing projects such as Baby Buddies, Nature Buddies & Mini Buddies, we have seen a strong community spirit and ongoing connections between all the families we work with. And these keep growing as the years go on.
